Lyon has signed Argentina full-back Nicolas Tagliafico on a three-year contract from Ajax.
The 29-year-old has been a mainstay for Ajax over the previous four-and-a-half seasons, making 169 games and won five major awards.
Lyon confirmed Tagliafico’s arrival on Sunday after a lengthy transfer controversy (AEST).
The Ligue 1 club paid €4.2 million ($6.2 million) for the left-back, who will cover the vacancy left by the return of loanee Emerson Palmieri to parent club Chelsea.
Tagliafico has 40 Argentina caps and is anticipated to be a member of Lionel Scaloni’s team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
