Arsenal climb to fourth place with an important victory over West Ham

Arsenal beat West Ham United 2-0 on Wednesday in the 17th round of the English Premier League.

Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the 48th minute after a well-attacking action, before West Ham completed the game with 10 players after Vladimir Coufal came out with a red card after causing a penalty, Alexandre Lacazette did not succeed in netting it. Emile Smith-Rowe added Arsenal’s second goal in the 87th minute. Arsenal increased their tally to 29 points in the fourth place qualifying for the Champions League, while West Ham were frozen at 28 points in fifth place.

In the second match, Wolverhampton beat hosts Brighton 1-0 with a goal that was signed by Morocco’s Ghanem Saiss (45 1), and Crystal Palace drew with Southampton 2-0.
