Arsenal overtook Manchester United in the Premier League top four with a 3-2 win against struggling Watford on Sunday.

Martin Odegaard opened the scoring for the visitors before Cucho Hernandez leveled with a fantastic overhead kick minutes later, but England’s Saka restored Arsenal’s advantage in an exciting first half.

Despite a late goal from Moussa Sissoko, the Gunners held out for an important win thanks to Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli.

The win moved Mikel Arteta’s side into the fourth position in the Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester United, who lost to leaders Manchester City 4-1.

Arteta, whose club had three straight league defeats to begin the season, said it was “extremely pleasant” to be in the top four, though he believed the win could have been easier.
