Barcelona announce Umtiti injured with a fracture

Barcelona announced on Monday that French defender Samuel Umtiti has suffered a fractured right foot that requires surgery.

MEDICAL ANNOUNCEMENT ❗

The first team player Samuel Umtiti took a blow to his right foot in training on Monday and has fractured his fifth metatarsal bone. The player will undergo surgery on Tuesday.

The club said in a brief statement that the player received a collision during training today that led to his injury in the metatarsal, and will undergo surgery on Tuesday with Dr. Anthony Dalmao, under the supervision of the club’s medical services, with another press release to be issued when the surgery is performed.
