Barcelona beat defending champions Atletico Madrid 4-2 on Sunday in the 23rd round of La Liga at the Camp Nou stadium.
Barca ended the first half with a fine performance, ending the first 45 minutes with a deserved 3-1 lead, with a clear brilliance from newcomer Adama Traore.
In the second, Xavi’s men withstood the advantage of the Atletico, which was raised after the red card for Dani Alves.
Jordi Alba scored for Barcelona (10), Gavi (21), Uruguayan Ronald Araujo (43), and Brazilian Dani Alves (49). While for Atletico the duo, Belgian Yannick Carrasco (8), and Uruguayan Luis Suarez (58).
Alves was sent off in the 69th minute and Alba was awarded the player of the match award.
The Catalans finished with 38 points in fourth place, against Atletico, who fell to fifth place, ending their score at 36.
