Barcelona’s Eye on Bernardo Silva in a Potential Swap Deal

According to a fresh rumor, Barcelona are planning a summer move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, and Frenkie de Jong might be part of the deal.

The forthcoming transfer window is expected to witness a flurry of incomings and outgoings at the Etihad Stadium, with Fernandinho stating last month that he would be leaving the Premier League winners at the conclusion of the season.

With little over a year remaining on Ilkay Gundogan’s current contract, Manchester City might try to enhance their alternatives in the center of the park, as several have speculated in recent months.

Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund is poised to make a spectacular transfer to east Manchester, with Julian Alvarez scheduled to come from River Plate at some time in the summer after City completed his deal in January.

Aurelien Tchouameni of AS Monaco and Declan Rice of West Ham United are among the names connected with a summer transfer to the northwest of England.

While Tchouameni may be deemed too young and inexperienced for the Premier League, City are unlikely to reach West Ham manager David Moyes’s £150 million estimate for Rice, who is slated to leave the London Stadium at the conclusion of the season.

Frenkie de Jong may be a valuable addition to a Manchester City side that has clearly needed depth in central midfield this season, and with Ilkay Gundogan’s future unknown, the Ajax academy product might thrive under Pep Guardiola.
