Barcelona’s Nico Gonzalez has officially arrived in Valencia to finalize his loan move

Nico Gonzalez, a midfielder for Barcelona, will join Valencia in the coming hours. The youngster missed Barça training on Wednesday and arrived in Valencia later that day to complete a season-long loan deal.

Nico, 20, has left Camp Nou in search of playing time, which he hopes to find at Mestalla under Italian coach Gennaro Gattuso.

“I’m excited and looking forward to it,” he told reporters in Valencia. “I’ve been ecstatic for the past two days. I’m hoping for minutes on Sunday. I spoke with the coach, and the vibes are positive.”

The switch is not yet official, but it is only a matter of time.
