Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Kahn announced on Wednesday that international defender Niklas Sule, whose contract expires in June, will leave the club at the end of the season as he becomes a free agent.
“The negotiations have lasted for a very long time. We made him an offer and he didn’t accept it. He will therefore leave the club at the end of the season.”The Bavarian club’s historic goalkeeper added that they had made a “very good offer” to the 26-year-old defender, who also played 37 international matches with Germany, adding: “But we have to respect certain economic limits.”
The specialized website “Transfermarket” estimates the value of the player by 35 million euros, knowing that he joined the giant Bavarian 2017 from Hoffenheim for 20 million euros. The huge defender (1.95m and 99kg) has appeared 158 times in the red shirt since arriving at the Allianz Arena.
