Bayern Munich returned from the Stadium “Signal Iduna Park” with a very important victory at the expense of his traditional rival Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in the 14th stage of the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Dortmund fired the match after only five minutes when Julian Brandt was able to open the score, after a cross from young Englishman Jude Bellingham, who stepped over Hernandez superbly before shooting hard into goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (5). The response came quickly from the Bavarian team where his brilliant Polish star Robert Lewandowski equalized after a deflection error from international Mats Hummels, and the ball hit Thomas Müller before reaching Lewandowski, who accelerated towards it, easily parked it inside the goal (9).
Lewandowski, who finished second in the Ballon d’Or behind Argentine legend Lionel Messi, scored his 117th away goal for the Bavarians, breaking the previous record of Klaus Fisher.
The two teams exchanged a series of chances amid a quick rhythm, but the guests were able to silence the stadium after snatching the lead through Frenchman Kingsley Koeman after a new defensive lapse from the “Yellow and black” as Guerrero’s ball hit his teammate Hummels as he tried to disperse it, reaching Koeman, who shot it at the top of the goal (44).
Bellingham’s special performance in the meeting helped him to achieve his second decisive pass, this time to Norwegian international Erling Haaland, which forced a quick equalizer after the start of the second half (48). Dortmund coach Marco Rose was forced to replace Brandt after a strong head-to-head collision with Upamecano, by Marius Wolf.
Dortmund received a heavy blow after Bayern received a penalty after a handball was given on Hummels after resorting to assisting referee technique (VAR), and Lewandowski successfully signed his second personal goal (77). The 26th for the Polish in his former club.
The referee’s decision to award Bayern a penalty was not accepted by Rose, who was expelled from the match after his objection. Bellingham got a chance to equalize the score but his header passed by the goal (84), to get Bayern out with their most expensive victories.
