Bayern Munich denies rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo joining them

Hasan Salihamidzic, the director of Bayern Munich, has put an end to rumors that the Bundesliga team wants to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

Ronaldo has been talked about leaving Manchester United, which would be a big surprise. AS says that the Portuguese star is unhappy with how few players United has signed so far this summer and is looking to leave Old Trafford.

Reports also say that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is wanted by Bayern Munich. Sadio Mane, a forward for Liverpool, has already joined the German champions. However, Robert Lewandowski is still being linked to Barcelona, and Bayern Munich could lose him.

The 37-year-old Ronaldo has been the subject of rumors about his future for the past few months. The former Real Madrid star’s return to United was a success. He scored 24 goals in 38 games, but United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League has led to rumors that he might leave.

A move to Germany, on the other hand, doesn’t look likely. When asked about the recent rumors that Ronaldo was going to join Bayern, Salihamidzic laughed them off.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player whose career has been great. But rumors about a possible deal with Bayern are false, he told Sky Germany. “These stories aren’t true.”

Even though there have been rumors, Ronaldo is expected to return to United for pre-season training as Erik ten Hag gets to work with his new team. Players are set to go back to Carrington on Monday, but those who went to internationals recently are likely to come back later.
