Brentford secure precious draw after fighting from two goals down
Brentford manager Thomas Frank praised his team’s determination and mentality after they rallied from two goals down to earn a deserved 2-2 draw at Leicester.
Brendan Rodgers’ side were on course for a comfortable Premier League victory at the King Power Stadium after goals from Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall either side of half-time put them ahead.
However, the Foxes’ problems with holding onto a lead from last season resurfaced as Brentford, who used all five substitutes available in the second half, stormed back into the game.
Ivan Toney’s 62nd-minute strike gave them hope, but substitute Josh Dasilva’s stunning goal four minutes from time sealed a share of the spoils for Frank’s side.
According to the Danish boss: “I just think this group of players has so much determination, and their mentality in working their way back into the game is insane.
“Of course, we made a few changes and adjustments to the system with a large number of offensive players, but that’s something we’ve been working on and wanted to do.
“Then the way it paid off was a fantastic feeling, especially with Josh Dasilva’s story.”
