Chelsea crowned with FIFA Club World Cup champion

Chelsea were crowned as FIFA Club World Cup champions for the first time in their history by beating Brazil’s Palmeiras by two goals to one after an extension on Saturday in the final of the tournament in the UAE.

Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku (54) and Germany’s Kai Havertz (117 from the penalty spot) scored for the Blues while Rafael Vega scored for the Brazilian representative the only goal (64 from the penalty spot).

Palmeiras finished the match short of Luan Garcia, who received a red card in the 120+6th minute.

Chelsea lost the title in 2012 when they were defeated in the final by Brazilian Corinthians with an unanswered goal.
