Chelsea goes tough on Burnley

Chelsea rained hosts Burnley with four clean goals on Saturday in the 28th round of the English Premier League to cement their third place.

Chelsea raised their tally to 53 points, 6 points ahead of fourth-placed Manchester United plays on Sunday the derby against Manchester City.

The Londoners faced considerable resistance from Burnley, who relied on the immense physical strength of their players during the first half and rarely threatened their own goal. But Chelsea finished off the game after scoring a quad in the range of 22 minutes.

At the same stage, Aston Villa beat Southampton with the same score.

Ollie Watkins (9), Douglas Luiz (44), compatriot Philippe Coutinho (52), and Danny Ings (54) scored the goals for the winning team.

Newcastle secured a valuable win over Brighton 2-1. Winner Ryan Fraser (12) and Fabian Schar (14) scored while Luis Dunk reduced the difference (55).

In the rest of the games, Brentford beat Norwich City 3-1 and Crystal Palace beat Wolverhampton 2-0.
