Dortmund secures second place in the Bundesliga with a 3-1 victory against Fuerth

Julian Brandt scored twice for Borussia Dortmund in a 3-1 win against relegated Greuther Fuerth on Saturday, securing second place in the Bundesliga with one game left.

Brandt put the visitors ahead on the rebound after Fuerth keeper Andreas Linde had stopped an effort by Raphael Guerreiro.

In the 72nd minute, the Germany international scored again for a personal-best ninth time in the league, racing into the box to put Dortmund back in ahead just two minutes after the hosts had equalized.

Dortmund secured the three points with a deflected strike from substitute Felix Passlack in the 77th minute, increasing their lead to 66 points.

Bayern Munich leads the Bundesliga with 75 points and has already won the championship for the tenth time in a row. On Sunday, they face VfB Stuttgart. Bayer Leverkusen is third with 61 points.
