Bosnian Eden Dzeko led titleholders Inter Milan to a precious 2-1 victory over Venezia in the 93rd minute of Serie A on Saturday.
With this victory, Nerazzurri confirmed the top position with 53 points, by a margin five points ahead of neighbors Milan, who are awaiting a tough showdown against Juventus on Sunday . Venezia, in17th position, nearly snatched a surprise draw from the Italian champions, who also wasted two points last week with a 0-0 draw against Atalanta. Nicolo Barela (40) and Dzeko (90) scored for Inter after Frenchman Thomas Henry gave Venezia the lead (19).
In another match, Udinese were disappointed with a draw against struggling Genoa, who made their debut under new coach Alexander Blessin 0-0. Udinese are 14th with 24 points, while Genoa are in 19th place before the last.
