Everton lead the race to sign free agent Andrea Belotti

It’s thought that a lot of Premier League clubs could be very interested in the striker, who at one point had a €100 million release clause.

Everton needs to find a replacement for Richarlison, who moved to Tottenham for £50 million. And Belotti could be the deal that the club is looking for.

The Daily Mail says that at Goodison, “the idea of signing Andrea Belotti has been talked about.”

Since he didn’t want to sign a new deal with Torino, Belotti is now a free agent.

Even though he was hurt a lot last season, the 28-year-old scored eight goals in 23 games. Torino wanted to sign the No. 9 to a new contract, but the former Palermo player chose to leave on a free transfer instead.

The Express says that Arsenal and Manchester United “could be in a battle to sign Italy striker.”

But neither club seems to have any real interest in the player, even though both were interested in him in the past. In fact, it is thought that Arsenal made a bid of €65 million for the player in 2017.

Arsenal turned down the offer, but Torino’s director of sports, Gianluca Petrachi, insisted that Arsenal wasn’t the only team that wanted the player.

United was also talked about a lot, and Erik ten Hag wants a striker.

The Sun said earlier this summer that West Ham United could go after Belotti if Newcastle United made an offer for Gianluca Scamacca, a star player for Sassuolo.

Belotti has played for Italy 44 times and scored 12 times. He played in all but one of the Azzurri’s games at Euro 2020, which they won last summer.

Gianluca Di Marzio says that AS Monaco is one of the teams that could offer him a big contract.

Belotti moved to Torino from Palermo in August 2015 for €7.5m. And they said something classy as they left.

In a statement, Torino said, “Dear Andrea, we understand that you want to start a new adventure. From now on, we will be going in different directions.”

“We played together for seven seasons, which is a very strong bond in modern football. And we always felt the same way about happiness and sadness, disappointment and happiness.

“We appreciate everything you did for us. Toro is proud of what you have become. We honor you by wishing you continued success in your career.”
