Feyenoord defeated Marseille in a thrilling five-goal clash

On Thursday evening, Feyenoord and Marseille played off a five-goal thriller in their Europa Conference League semi-final first leg.

In a tumultuous first half, four goals were scored.

After 20 minutes, Feyenoord had a two-goal advantage courtesy of a swift double from Cyriel Dessers and Luis Sinisterra.

Marseille fought back, and the score was level at halftime. Bamba Dieng put the ball in the back of the goal in the 28th minute, but Gerson equalized 12 minutes later.

Dessers gave Feyenoord the lead again immediately after the interval. There were no more goals as the Dutch held on to their first-leg lead.

The two sides will meet again on May 5 at the Stade Velodrome for their second leg contest.
