Gabriel Jesus is officially a Gunner

Gabriel Jesus has joined Arsenal from Manchester City. The Brazilian striker will cost the club £45 million and has agreed to a new five-year contract in North London. As a genuine striker, he will wear Alexandre Lacazette’s recently departed #9 jersey.

According to the majority of Arsenal’s regular reporters, Mikel Arteta’s top objective this summer was Gabriel Jesus. Arteta has worked with the striker as an assistant coach at Manchester City. When questioned about the current transfer window and his team’s “next moves,” Arteta has frequently said that Arsenal needs to score more goals.

That should be provided by Gabriel Jesus. When he was the key man for City a few years ago, he scored twice in the Premier League and added a couple more in the Champions League. His output has dipped in the last two seasons as he has taken on a larger role and played fewer minutes. Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are betting that he can recapture his form from a few years ago in a key position in North London.

Gabriel Jesus is a fantastic addition to Arsenal. He has Premier League experience, has been tried, and has shown himself. He is an instant improvement over the Gunners’ top three last season, who included Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Eddie Nketiah. By attracting more attention through the center, he should supply a substantial percentage of the extra goals the team needs while also freeing up space for the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and the rest of the Arsenal attackers (and, you know, actually getting into the box).
