Leeds United have sealed a deal to sign RB Salzburg midfielder Brenden Aaronson in the summer.
Brenden Aaronson was a January transfer window target for Leeds, but they had to wait instead. However, optimism has grown, and they are now ready to welcome their first summer signing.
On Thursday, the offensive midfielder came for a medical. As a result, Leeds can now disclose that the two clubs have reached a deal for his move.
As a result, Aaronson will join Leeds United on July 1st. The relocation is contingent on international clearance and a work visa.
Aaronson will be playing in the Premier League for the first time. He honed his abilities in Salzburg, Austria, where he previously worked under Jesse Marsch. He will now rejoin the current Leeds manager at Elland Road.
The fee for Aaronson’s move has yet to be determined by Leeds. It is said to be in the region of £24 million, making him one of the most expensive acquisitions in club history.
What they can reveal is that Aaronson has agreed to a contract extension till 2027. He is now 21 years old, which implies he will spend some formative years in West Yorkshire.
Aaronson has expressed his delight about his future relocation.
“It’s a fantastic feeling to be here at this historic club, and I’m extremely thrilled for the upcoming season,” he told LUTV.
“I believe it was around Christmas or January that I saw there was some interest, and hearing about Leeds United’s interest was a significant moment for me, and I was really delighted.”
“I knew a lot about Leeds at the time, and what a renowned club it is, how many followers they have, and how loyal they are, it was simply a dream location for me.”
“We’re going to have a huge season next year, and I’m really happy to be a part of it.” I know the squad will be ready, so this will be an important season.
“I’m not even thinking about my off-season; I’m simply looking forward to getting back into it!”
