The Foxes increased their tally to 22 points in eighth place, after Northern Irish coach Brendan Rodgers’ men faced off with the absence of seven of their players because of coronavirus
.After scoring their first league win of the season last week against Burnley, Newcastle returned to poor results. Leicester entered the game after achieving only two wins in his last nine matches in all competitions, and he bid farewell to the Europa League in midweek with Thursday’s loss to Napoli in Italy. Striker Jamie Vardy continued the game from the bench and Rodgers did not use his services throughout the match.
