Sevilla improved their Champions League chances with a 3-2 win against Levante, with Jesus Corona scoring twice and Jules Kounde adding a late third.
Jesus Corona headed home Lucas Ocampos’s cross in the 14th minute to give the visitors the lead.
Five minutes later, Levante equalized from the penalty spot after the VAR determined that Diego Carlos had handled in the area.
Jose Luis Morales’ penalty attempt was deflected into the bottom right corner.
Corona scored his second goal in the 27th minute to restore Sevilla’s advantage.
Ocampos was the supplier once again, this time with a cross that Corona pushed home from close range.
Levante were given a second penalty after Nemanja Radoja was hauled down in the area by Marcos Acuna.
Morales, though, missed, and Sevilla added a third goal a few minutes later on a header by Jules Kounde.
Roberto Soldado’s goal set up a tense finish, but Sevilla held on for a crucial win.
