Polish star Robert Lewandowski won the FIFA Player of the Year award for 2021.
Lewandowski starred remarkably after leading the Bavarian team to retain the Bundesliga title. Lewandowski beat Mohamed Salah, who broke many records at the beginning of this season with Liverpool, as well as Lionel Messi, the current Paris Saint-Germain star who was crowned with the Copa America with Argentina.
Lewandowski retained the award where he faced fierce competition with Lionel Messi who was crowned with France football’s Ballon d’Or. Lewandowski finished first with a total of 48 points against Messi 44 and Salah 39.
