Lewandowski joins Barcelona in Miami after agreement with Bayern

Barcelona has a new signing. This summer, Robert Lewandowski arrived in Miami to join his new teammates.

The Poland international had a physical in Spain before flying to the United States to begin working with his new team, having left Bayern Munich in a move for up to €50 million.

Although his transfer is not yet finalized, Lewandowski may already be regarded as a Barcelona player. He’s already talked with manager Xavi and president Joan Laporta, and he’s busy getting to know his new teammates.

Ronald Araujo, one of those new teammates, couldn’t contain his joy.

“I am really pleased with the quality that Lewandowski will bring,” stated the center-back. “It’s a lot of fun. It’s fantastic.”

Araujo went on: “I’m pleased with the caliber of players that are coming. It is critical for the team. It is critical for us to have competition. It is always beneficial in football because it forces you to give your best.”

Lewandowski’s main goal during his time at Camp Nou is to add to his already impressive prize chest.
