Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain reached the round of 16 of the Champions League group A.The two teams qualified following Belgium’s Club Brugge’s loss to Leipzig.
Manchester City beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 on Wednesday in the fifth round of Group A.Raheem Sterling (63) and Gabriel Jesus (76) scored for the City, while Kylian Mbappe scored the only goal for the French capital (50). City increased their tally to 12 points, leading the group with 8 for Saint-Germain before the last round of the group stage.
In the second match in the same group, Leipzig returned with a victory from The Belgian Club Brugge 5-0. France’s Christopher Nkunku (12, 90+3), Sweden’s Emile Forsberg (17 pk, 45+1), and Portugal’s Andre Silva (26) took turns.
The final stage will be crucial to determining the holders of the Europa League transit card as Leipzig host Manchester City while Club Brugge takes on Paris Saint-Germain.
