Manchester City picked up a tough and thrilling victory from hosts Arsenal 2-1 on Saturday in the opening of week 21 of the English Premier League.

City increased their tally to 53 points while Arsenal’s stayed fourth with 35 points. The London team relied on French striker and captain Alexandre Lacazette, and on the Japanese Takehiro Tomasso in defense, while Rob Holding started at the bench. Spanish coach Mikel Arteta missed the match because of coronavirus, replaced by Dutch assistant Albert Stuivenberg.
Portuguese defender Joao Cancello, who was assaulted and injured by two robbers at home, was present, as Spanish coach Pep Guardiola started with the attacking trio Mahrez, Sterling, and Gabriel Jesús.
