Manchester City snatched the top spot in the English Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Watford in the 15th stage of the competition on Saturday.
City increased their tally to 35 points ahead by a margin of one point from Liverpool and two points from Chelsea. At Vicarage Road, Portuguese playmaker Bernardo Silva established himself as the star of Manchester City by scoring a superb double to lead them to a 3-1 victory.
City opened the scoring after four minutes when Phil Foden passed a cross from the left inside the area and Raheem Sterling followed unattended from close range into the net. Silva added the second goal after a shot from German Gundogan bounced back from the Watford keeper and made a tricky technical move to score inside the net (31).
City lost a number of chances by Jack Grealish, who wasted on more than one occasion, and Sterling. Before Silva added the third goal when he received a ball inside the area and dodged a defender before pointing it into the far corner (63). Watford responded with an honorary goal byColombian Juan Hernández (74).
