Marseille collects expensive points from Nice

Marseille won an important battle towards the Champions League with a 2-1 home win over Nice at the Velodrome.

Marseille raised their tally to 53 points in second place while Nice slipped to fourth with 50 points.

Polish forward Arkadiusz Milik opened the scoring for Marseille with a penalty in the third minute of the stoppage time of the first half.

Cedric Bakambu of the Democratic Republic of the Congo added the second goal one minute before the end of the game, and Nice responded with an honorary goal in stoppage time by Lemina.
