Bayern Munich have completed the signing of right-back Noussair Mazraoui on a free transfer from Dutch champions Ajax, the Bundesliga side confirmed Tuesday.
Mazraoui, 24, had long been considered a done deal for Bundesliga champions Bayern, who said he had agreed on a four-year contract to 2026.
“Straight from the first discussions with Bayern, I had a good feeling and I’m excited about joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe,” Mazraoui said.
: Bayern have just become German champions for the 10th year in a row and will be among the contenders to win the Champions League again next season.
“I’ve chosen this club because I can win the biggest titles here.”
Mazraoui has spent his entire career so far with Ajax, winning three leagues and two cups as a professional. He represents Morocco internationally although he was born in the Netherlands.
“We’re pleased to make Noussair Mazraoui our first new signing of the summer,” said Bayern’s board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic. “He had offers from all over Europe and chose us because we have a clear plan with him and want to achieve big things with him.”
