Kylian Mbappe has guaranteed that we will know where he will play football next season before the end of the month.
With the confirmation of Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City, all eyes are now on Mbappe, who is out of contract in the summer.
On Sunday, the French superstar was named Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the third time, but unsurprisingly, all eyes were on his future.
The 23-year-old has everyone waiting, including the teams themselves, with current club Paris Saint-Germain competing with Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid to sign him.
Despite both teams professing to be sure of acquiring Mbappe, Mbappe claims he has yet to make a choice. “I can’t talk about my future right now, but you’ll know very soon – it’s practically determined,” Mbappe stated.
In recent weeks, bookmakers have been split on who will sign Mbappe, with both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain favored. As things stand, Real Madrid are the favorite, but the bookmakers believe PSG has a chance. Real is priced at 13/20, which is a 60% likelihood – but they have been much shorter. PSG are 11/10, which is barely short of 50% chance. What is known is that one of the longest transfer sagas in history seems to be coming to an end.
