Milan wins over Marseille thanks to Messias

Good news for AC Milan ahead of the start of the Serie A season and awaiting the arrival of De Ketelaere, who is due to arrive on Monday.

Pioli’s club defeated Igor Tudor’s new Marseille, which will make its Ligue 1 debut in only seven days, 2-0 at the Velodrome.

Junior Messias scored the Rossoneri’s first goal in the 11th minute, capping a fantastic choral effort with a superb left-footed drive into the crossbar. In the 29th minute, the same Brazilian played finisher, with an assist for Giroud.

The comeback to the pitch of Simon Kjaer, who came close to heading the 3-0 goal in the final eight months after suffering a terrible injury, was especially remarkable. The last pre-season test for Pioli’s squad will be held on Saturday, August 6, in Vicenza.
