Thomas Müller’s contract with Bayern Munich has been extended until June 2024, the Bundesliga winners announced on Tuesday.
The former deal of the 32-year-old forward would have terminated in June 2023, the same as that of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (36) and striker Robert Lewandowski (33). Neuer is largely anticipated to sign a new contract, but Lewandowski’s position is more complicated.
“Every year, it brings me great joy to represent these red colors on and off the field. Even if the wind is blowing in your face. So let’s keep going at it together, “Müller, who won 11 German titles as a player, is the Bundesliga record holder.
Müller, who won the World Cup with Germany in 2014, made his Bundesliga debut for his one and only club in 2008.
“Thomas Müller is a legendary figure who carries our club’s crest in his heart. Bayern has always been known for its consistency, which is why we are delighted that we have been able to renew our contract with this essential player. He is a leader, and his demeanor in the locker room makes him a significant figure “CEO Oliver Kahn made a statement.
