Neymar scores twice as PSG easily defeats Nantes in the Super Cup
Neymar scored twice for Paris Saint-Germain, while Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos added the other two goals in a 4-0 win against Nantes in the French Super Cup on Sunday at the Bloomfield Stadium.
The Parisians won the customary season-opening showdown between the Ligue 1 champions and the French Cup winners for the ninth time in ten years, contested routinely outside France during the previous decade.
Messi opened the score in the 22nd minute, after a through pass from Neymar that enabled him to round the goalie and net from a close angle. On the stroke of halftime, Neymar scored a second with a flying free kick before Sergio Ramos, who spent much of last season out injured after his transfer from Real Madrid, grabbed the third with an incredible backheel from close range in the 57th minute.
The game-winning goal came in the 82nd minute when Neymar was fouled by Nantes defender Jean Claude Castelletto, who was sent off, and the Brazilian scored the resulting penalty kick.
