Nice returns to victories with a tough win over Angers

Nice returned to the winning track with a 1-0 win over Angers on Sunday to consolidate their third place in the 25th stage of the French Ligue 1.

Nice owes its victory to Dutchman Justin Kluivert, who scored the only goal in the 19th minute.

It is the first victory for Nice in the “Ligue 1” after two consecutive losses to Clermont 0-1 and Lyon 0-2 in the previous two stages, to return to the track of victories, enhancing its third place with 45 points, a point behind Marseille, which later faces Clermont in the hope of winning to return the four-point difference.

Rennes secured a 4-1 away win over Troyes and Montpellier beat Lorient 1-1, while Saint-Etienne and Strasbourg ended in a 2-2 draw and Rennes vs Brest 1-1.
