Barcelona and Napoli clash ended with a draw with a goal for each in the first knockout stage round of the Europa League final on Thursday evening.
Polish Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring for Napoli in the 29th minute and Ferran Torres scored the draw for Barcelona from the penalty spot in the 59th minute of the match that took place at the “Camp Nou”.
Barcelona were the better side in the match controlling the game, especially in the second half. They had 21 shots in the game, while Napoli had only 4. The match saw the involvement of Ousmane Dembele who was booed by the “Camp Nou” fans, although he caused a lot of disturbance for the Napoli defence.
The second leg scheduled on the 24th of this month will be a tight summit to see which team qualifies for the next round.
