Poland will compete in the World Cup in Qatar in 2022

In the last round of the second track in the crucial round of European qualifications, the Polish national team defeated hosts Sweden by two clean goals to secure their place in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The first half finished in a 0-0 tie, and the hosts were severely outmatched in the second half when Polish star and goal scorer Robert Lewandowski scored the first goal in the 49th minute and Piotr Zielinski scored the second goal in the 72nd minute.

It is the ninth time that the Polish national team has competed in the World Cup finals, having made his debut in the 1938 World Cup in France and his greatest performance coming in the championships in 1974 and 1982, when he placed third in both competitions.
