Positive draw settles Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain clash

A 1-1 draw was decided between Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday in the 20th stage of the Ligue 1.

Lucas Paqueta put Lyon ahead with a goal in the 7th minute before Thilo Kehrer equalized for Saint-Germain in the 76th minute. Saint-Germain continued to lead with 47 points while Lyon increased their tally to 25 points in 11th place. Paqueta scored Lyon’s goal early on after a coordinated one-touch attack by his teammates before receiving a ball behind the defense from compatriot Bruno Guimaraes outside the area, which he set himself up inside and hit it hard to the left of Costa Rican international goalkeeper Keylor Navas (7).

Paris Saint-Germain pressed hard and were close to equalizing on more than one occasion but goalkeeper Anthony Lopes was a hero. Paris Saint-Germain equalized through defender Kehrer with a creeping shot from inside the area (76). It’s the fourth consecutive draw for Lyon, who hasn’t achieved a win in his last five games.
