The schedule for the 2022–2023 Premier League season has been made public.
Manchester City plays West Ham in their first game to defend the title they won so dramatically last month. Their hero was Ilkay Gundogan, who scored twice in a late flurry against Aston Villa on the last day of the season. That result ended Liverpool’s hopes of a quadruple, which had never been done before. Jurgen Klopp’s team is now sure to hope that they can go one better this time, starting with Fulham.
Todd Boehly, the new owner of Chelsea, hopes to get off to a good start after finally making a deal to buy the club from Roman Abramovich last season. Tottenham Hotspur are back in the Champions League under Antonio Conte and will hope their strong finish to the year continues.
As usual, it’s also a big day for the teams that got promoted. Fulham, Bournemouth, and Nottingham Forest now know how they will start their lives back in the top level of English football. Find out what people are saying about the 2022–23 schedule and what they think about it.
