PSG have confirmed Mukiele’s transfer from RB Leipzig
Mukiele is the French champions’ third summer signing, following Vitinha of Portugal and Hugo Ekitike of France.
Nordi Mukiele, a France defender, was signed on a five-year contract by Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
Mukiele was born in the Paris neighborhood of Montreuil and went through the Laval academy before spending four seasons at Leipzig, where he won the German Cup last season.
“Obviously, playing for your hometown team is a dream. “Playing for Paris is a huge honor for me, my friends, and my family, and I’m incredibly glad to have worked so hard to get here today,” Mukiele said on the club’s website.
“Being at Paris Saint-Germain, one of the top clubs in the world, demonstrates that the hard work I’ve put in over the last several years has paid off.”
Mukiele is the French champions’ third summer signing, following Vitinha of Portugal and Hugo Ekitike of France.
Mukiele made his France debut and lone international appearance so far in September, and he has stated that he hopes to play in this year’s World Cup.
“A player should have multiple goals, and my goal is to do everything I can to get to the World Cup,” he stated.
“I’ll need to be good in training, then in games, and to perform consistently well.”
“In any case, that’s what I intend to accomplish in order to compete in the next World Cup.”
