Ramsey and Juventus to split ways mutually
Aaron Ramsey will be a free agent after Juventus announced that his contract has been mutually ended.
The Wales international joined the Bianconeri after his contract with Arsenal expired in 2019, but he fell out of favor last season, making only three Serie A appearances before joining Scottish side Rangers on loan.
He appeared seven times in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers, but his time in Glasgow will be remembered for his important penalty shoot-out miss in the Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville, which Rangers eventually lost.
The 31-year-old returned to Turin after the loan term with one year left on his contract, but the two sides have agreed to split ways.
The midfielder has been extensively connected with a return to a pair of former clubs, with boyhood club Cardiff City allegedly keen, as well as Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest, where he spent a brief loan spell in 2010-11.
Ramsey will be eager to gain some playing time in order to prepare for Wales’ World Cup in Qatar in November.
Meanwhile, Juventus is allegedly interested in Leandro Paredes of Paris Saint-Germain, who spent last season on loan at Sporting Lisbon and could be a player that PSG is willing to sell.
