Rangers come back home with a big victory against Dortmund

German Borussia Dortmund suffered a severe defeat against Scottish Rangers (2-4) at home to” Signal Iduna Park ” on Thursday in the first qualifying round of the Europa League competition.

Borussia Dortmund’s Norwegian top scorer Erling Haaland continued his absence due to injury, as did Belgium international defender Thomas Meunier.

Rangers scored twice in the 4 minutes with a penalty from James Tavernier following a handball from Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou (37), before Colombian Alfredo Morelos added a second from a corner (41). It was 3 minutes into the second half until John Lundstram scored the visitors ‘ third goal with a powerful shot from outside the area.

Dortmund responded two minutes later when the Englishman Jude Bellingham hit a ball from the air with his left foot from the edge of the area. But the hosts ‘ hope for a comeback was dashed as Rangers added the fourth goal through Zagadou by mistake in his team’s goal (54)

Dortmund managed to reduce the gap 8 minutes before the end of the game by his Portuguese back Raphael Guerreiro.
