Real Madrid back to victory track from Alaves gate

Real Madrid returned to the winning track by beating Deportivo Alaves by a clean three on Saturday in the 25th week of the Spanish La Liga.

Marco Asensio (63), Vinicius Jr. (80), and Karim Benzema (90+1 from the penalty spot) took turns scoring for the Madrid team.

Real Madrid raised their tally to 57 points at the top of the LaLiga, 7 points above their closest pursuers Sevilla, who come Sunday as a guest in Espanyol. In contrast, Alaves’s balance froze at 20 points in the 19th spot.

Real Madrid drew in the last leg with hosts Villarreal with no goals before falling to Paris Saint-Germain with a goal in the Champions League first knockout round.
