Juventus captain Leonardo Bonucci came close to opening the score with his team’s finest opportunity of the game, a free-kick from 25 yards that shook Thibaut Courtois’ goal’s crossbar.

Real Madrid took the lead in the 19th minute when Vinicius Jr was taken down by fellow Brazilian Danilo as he made his way into the area. Benzema’s shot sailed past goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

The Frenchman had a chance to double his score seconds later, but he couldn’t get the ball out of his foot after doing well to create space in the Juventus box.

Dusan Vlahovic had a half-chance to put the Italians back in the game shortly before the break, but he blew it as defender Eder Militao recovered smartly.

Right-back for Real Madrid After being sent through on goal by Vinicius Jr., Dani Carvajal blasted a shot straight at the goalie.

The Italian goalkeeper was then forced into action again, diving to block Benzema’s curling attempt from outside the area.

In the 64th minute, both teams made substitutions, with Madrid scoring again less than five minutes later when Marco Asensio got on the end of a cross to tap into an open goal.

For the rest of the game, neither side generated any major chances, with Madrid finishing out easy victors in the pre-season match.
