Real Madrid achieved a brilliant 4-1 win over Valencia on Saturday in the 20th stage of La Liga.
France’s Karim Benzema (43 pk and 88) and Brazilian Vinicius Junior (52 and 61) took turns in scoring for Real. Portuguese Gonzalo Guedes made the difference for guests in the 77th minute. Real increased their tally to 49 points, boosting their lead in the domestic competition. In return, Valencia stopped at 28 points in ninth place. It was Real’s 15th La Liga win of the season with four draws and two losses, while Valencia suffered their sixth defeat with seven wins and same for draws.
Karim Benzema continued his outstanding performance with the Spanish capital to strengthen his lead in the La Liga table with 17 goals. The Frenchman also reached the 301st goal of his career with Real Madrid helping with their 584th win in all competitions, becoming the fourth player to reach this milestone in Real Madrid’s history after Cristiano Ronaldo (450 goals), Raúl González (323 goals), and Alfredo Di Stéfano (308 goals).
