Richarlison might face an inquisition after the flare incident against Chelsea

Richarlison may be investigated by the FA for throwing a lighted flare after scoring Everton’s winner against Chelsea.

At Goodison Park, the Brazilian scored a minute into the second half, and Everton held on for a 1-0 win, moving them within two points of Premier League safety.

A lighted blue flare was thrown into the field by spectators during Richarlison’s scoring celebrations.

Richarlison retaliated by scooping up and tossing the flare, although it was unclear where it landed.

“We will look into the situation,” a club official stated, “but as far as we are concerned, Richarlison was trying to hurl it out of the ground.”

The FA approached Liverpool player Harvey Elliott in February after he handled a red flare during the club’s Carabao Cup triumph at Wembley.
