Manchester City qualified for the FA Cup fifth round by beating Fulham 4-1 on Saturday.
Algerian Riyad Mahrez scored a double (53) from a penalty, and (57), Ilkay Gundogan (6), and John Stones (13) scored the first and second for City.
While he signed Fulham’s only goal Fabio Carvalho (4).
Good start for Lampard
Former midfielder Frank Lampard made a successful start to his career as Everton manager, leading Liverpool’s blue pole to the 5th round by beating Brentford with four goals for Colombian Yerry Mina (31), Brazilian Richarlison (48), Mason Holgate (62), and Andros Townsend (90+1) and a goal for Ivan Toney (54 pk).
Everton signed the former Chelsea star and coach on January 31 to succeed in sacked Spaniard Rafael Benitez. Lampard returned to training for the first time since being sacked by Chelsea on January 25, 2021, having been the coach of the team he had excelled in as a player since July 2019.
Norwich City also qualified by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0, Crystal Palace by beating fourth-tier Hartlepool 2-0.
