“It’s a really good feeling to be a Roma player,” said Wijnaldum, 31. “Everyone I’ve spoken with has been very complimentary about the club and its supporters.
“In their efforts to complete the deal, the club made it clear how much they wanted me, which always gives a player a lot of confidence and belief.
“The response from supporters has also been fantastic, both on social media and elsewhere. I promise to give my all and help the team compete for all of our goals this year “season.”
Wijnaldum joins Roma in the offseason, joining Paulo Dybala, Nemanja Matic, Zeki Celik, and Mile Svilar.
For the Giallorossi, he will wear the number 25 shirt.
Last season, Roma finished sixth in Serie A and won the Europa Conference League under manager Jose Mourinho. On August 14, they will kick off the new campaign with a trip to Salernitana.
