Sebastien Haller out of action to begin treatment for a malignant testicular tumor
Sebastien Haller will undergo chemotherapy treatment as part of his struggle against a malignant testicular tumor, according to Borussia Dortmund.
The new signing recently had surgery to remove a tumor, which sports director Sebastian Kehl claimed went well, but he will be out of action for the next ‘several months.’

Kehl has now provided an update, saying that Haller will begin chemotherapy shortly.
“Sebastien will now get the greatest therapy available,” Kehl stated. “The odds of recovery are excellent.”
“We wish him and his family strength and optimism, and our prayers are with him at this trying time.”
Manager Edin Terzic was recently asked whether he expects a successor for Haller to be signed before the conclusion of the summer transfer window, but he stressed that the choice would not be made by him.
“You’re implying an external answer,” Terzic told ZDF, “but my duty is to handle internal problems.” We have a great young program, and we have a few pretty talented people on our team.”
