Sebastien Haller, an Ajax striker, will get a medical before moving to Borussia Dortmund for an initial £30 million, 90min knows.
Since selling Erling Haaland to Manchester City, the Bundesliga team has been looking for a new striker. However, they have also signed Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi this summer.
The Ivory Coast international Haller will soon have a medical after BVB and Ajax agreed to a deal worth £30 million-plus various add-ons. This will give BVB another option up top.
Done deal, completed. Borussia Dortmund are set to sign Sébastien Haller, €35m fee to Ajax and personal terms agreed. BVB are prepared for medical tests and paperworks to be signed. 🟡⚫️🤝 #BVB— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 22, 2022

Last week, 90min said that the Dutch club hoped to get €40 million for Haller, and add-ons could bring the final price closer to that amount.
Last season, Haller was on fire when it came to scoring goals for Ajax. He scored 11 goals in just eight Champions League games. He also scored 21 goals in the Eredivisie, which helped the Dutch team keep their title.
The 28-year-old will go back to playing football in Germany. He spent the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 33 goals in 77 games.
After a forgettable time at West Ham, he moved to Ajax in the middle of the 2020/21 season and quickly became one of Europe’s most wanted strikers again.
Ajax is likely to lose a number of key players from the team that won the title last year. Erik ten Hag, who used to be the manager of Manchester United, hopes that Antony, Jurrien Timber, and Lisandro Martinez will join him there. Meanwhile, Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch have signed with Bayern Munich.
