During the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time, Inter secured their victory against Juventus with a clean goal that came from a penalty kick scored by Hakan Calhanoglu.
The penalty kick in favor of Inter was awarded after a heated debate and a barrage of protestations, despite the fact that video technology was used to correct the error.
The Turkish star missed the penalty the first time, with the ball deflecting off Juventus’ Brazilian Danilo and into the goal. However, the referee ruled that the Juventus players had entered the penalty area before the kick was made, and the penalty was retaken by the Turkish star.
Chalhanoglu re-executed the penalty and sent it into the goal after being intercepted by Juventus defenders on the first attempt.
Inter increased their lead to three points over Milan and Napoli, bringing their total to 63 points.

The goal came from the Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan with an attack started by the Portuguese goalkeeper Rui Patricio and arrived on the left side of the Polish Nikola Zalewski and passed it perfectly inside the area to follow Mkhitaryan inside the net (27).
Roma’s top scorer, Tammy Abraham, missed an easy opportunity to boost his side’s progress towards the end of the first half.

Fiorentina remained in the struggle to grab the card of participation in European competitions by beating Empoli 1-0.
Fiorentina raised its tally in eighth place to 50 points.
