Sevilla achieves a deserved win over Dinamo Zagreb

Spain’s Sevilla secured a well-deserved victory over Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb 3-1 in the qualifying round of the Europa League.

The Andalusian club opened the scoring 13 minutes after the kick-off from the penalty spot after a foul from goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic on Argentine Alejandro Gomez successfully executed by Croatian Ivan Rakitic.

Dinamo Zagreb equalized through Mislav Orsic (41), the home side came back and scored twice in 3 minutes through Argentine Lucas Ocampos from a shot inside the area (44) and Manchester United’s newcomer, French striker Anthony Martial after a quick counter-attack the Frenchman sealed it in the net (45+1).

Spain’s Real Sociedad draw 2-2 against Germany’s Leipzig.

The visitors went ahead through Frenchman Robin Le Normand in the eighth minute, and Leipzig equalized thanks to compatriot Christopher Nkonko (31).

Sociedad then took the lead by Mikel Oyazrzabal’s 64th-minute penalty before Leipzig equalized thanks to Swedish substitute Emil Forsberg also from the 82nd-minute penalty.

Italy’s Atalanta turned the table against the Greek side Olympiakos to a 2-1 victory.

The visitors took the lead thanks to veteran Brazilian striker Tiquinho Soares (16) before Atalanta responded with two goals within 3 minutes of the second half through Albanian defender Berat Djimsiti (61 and 63).

Porto beat Italy’s Lazio 2-1, thanks to the Spanish Toni Martinez (37 and 49), in response to Lazio’s opening goal through Mattia Zaccagni (23).
